Punjab Tandoori in Aschaffenburg

Food was delicious, but ... Vegan labeled dishes ... ask if really without animal products ... had ordered a "vegan" starter and this was served with yogurt sauce. Some "vegan" dishes say they have butter !?

Very tasty Indian food in a more upscale atmosphere. Prices for an Indian are still quite affordable.

In my opinion, the one star is still too much: Last week I was really up for Indian again. At Punjab Tandoori, I had neither eaten on site nor ordered anything beforehand. I trusted the good reviews and then ordered around 7:55 p.m. Immediately after I ordered, I was shown a delivery time of "80min". Well, the mood was a bit clouded, but the hunger was still there, so I was still happy. After the 80min the food was, you can imagine, not there. I then patiently waited another half an hour. At about half past nine I called and asked if I could still count on my order today. After I gave my address, the not very friendly man on the phone said to me: "Food is out, it will be there soon!" Without saying another word, they hung up. Well, I was a little bent because I expected at least a half-hearted apology. 15 minutes after the phone call: There was still no food. When I wanted to call the second time, my cell phone finally rang and the driver said he was downstairs in front of the door and I should open it or come down. I then said he should come up because after 2.5 hours I can wait, at least I can expect the food to be brought to my door. So then: food was finally there. The driver then handed me the paper bag and pulled away as quickly as he could. When I closed the door, I also realized why: The bag was completely soaked with sauce, the one package apparently opened during the journey and the sauce ran out. I then had to hold the bag on the underbody, otherwise it would have been torn off and everything would have fallen on the floor. So everything was wiped away from the packaging, the bag was thrown away and then of course: FOOD IS COLD, MEAT DRY, and I am simply mega disappointed. It's a shame, I would have loved to have made this shop my favorite Indian. But I'll never order there again. I have to think twice about whether I'll try to eat there again.

Eaten delicious. Unfortunately I was only passing through. So can't go back anytime soon. Due to limited space and good food: it's better to reserve.

Basically mostly very good. But in between outliers down. Dishes are then not quite as aromatic as usual. With a little more constancy it would be 5 stars.

We had ordered lamb biriyani and chicken tikka (starter). Unfortunately this time the Biriyani was not like it used to be. Meat tastes like it has only been cooked in water. No nuts over this time. What happened I have no idea, looks like the boss was on vacation. So I offer you guys to keep consistency, hopefully it'll get better again. Good luck

Perfect menu to try Indian food. Great value for money. For starters, main courses and desserts there are mixed dishes where you can try out different flavors. Wine is also recommended. All in all a successful evening with nice people (staff and guests) and very good food and drinks. Any time.

The food was actually rather nice, but only 4 stars because of the 2 papadoms ordered 1 was soaked with oil.

Awesome place for indian and Pakistani cuisine...very nice restaurant staff...must try tandoori chicken masala...the gravy is awesome..never found such tasty dishes in india as well...must visit..

The food here was very tasty. Loved the Biryani! Finished it off with rasmalai, which was also delicious. The staff and the owner were very friendly.

Very good Indian restaurant.....

The food is OK, the starter plate for one person is mainly different vegetables with deep fried with batter, ok but nothing special, everything tastes similar. My Lamb pieces were not so good at this time but the sauces in lamb thali were OK, when we told this to waiter they offered to make a bit more but we'll wasn't really ready to wait more. My wife's palak paneer was tasting good when I had a taste of it and my friends mango-curry sauce. Dessert was decent, mix of 3 different types of dessert, even though it was written on chalk board that it will include 4. Also Indian beer was out even it was written on Wall as a new product but it was informed by waiter. Service is good, atmosphere is alright. Price is for quality what we received this time a bit high end, might give a new test one day if this restaurant will make up to the expectations what 4,5 stars means for me.

Realy nice Indian Food, a lot of dishes in the menu. Food was realy delicious, just the Price was little bit high.

I think this is the only restaurant which gives good indian/punjabi dishes in Aschaffenburg. I truly enjoyed the Tandoori dishes here and the mango lassi. So will definitely recommend this place. I myself come from India and find the dishes authentic

1st one I found which is serving Tali mixed plates. Kids liked all their dishes. Good cooking. Will visit again

We were happy to have a table reserved, very nice service staff, courteous and polite, it was all right at the table, 1.klassiges food, you feel very comfortable in the restaurant. We were visiting Aschaffenburg and very satisfied.

This cute little restaurant is modern and charming. The staff ultra friendly and competent. I was a bit disappointed with the food though. I am a lover of Indian cuisine and found the entrees to be a bit bland. The sweet chutney we had with the appetizers was super yummy and I would have wished the rest of the main dishes had the same spicy gusto. The meal was nicely prepared and displayed. Good portions and visually wonderful.

Authentic taste. Good menu. Very friendly service. Update after an year: Taste is still good. Service was rude. In retrospect very pricey for the quantity of food, ambience, and service, given that in this neighborhood there are tons of other restaurants offering a meal under 10 euros.
